Downtown Visit

We are members of the Art Institute, and decided we wanted to see the Edward Hopper exhibition, so we loaded Jack up early on a Sunday morning to make the Member's hours before the exhibit officially opened for the day. We were glad we did, as later in the day the line was crazy! We really enjoyed the exhibit, and Jack professed his approval as well by doing his usual-sleeping through most of it. He did wake up at the end and expressed his thoughts about Hopper's later works while having a bottle.

After our visit to the Art Institute, we decided to wander over to Millenium Park and the Bean. We've actually not been to see it since it was first installed, when it still had the joints in the stainless steel plates. It's so incredible. Jack seemed to like it, too.

We went for some Thai food at My Thai afterwards, and then my parents called and asked if they could stop in for a bit to see Jack. All in all it was a very successful way to celebrate Jack's 11th month!
