We're a bit behind in posting this...at least we got it up before July!
Jack's first birthday party was on Sunday, June 1 at 2 pm. John designed the invitations, and he made Jack a fancy t-shirt with a "1" on it to wear. John's parents, my mom and step-dad, my dad, and the Tomlinsons, Falconers, Goodnights, and the Gilchrists joined us for a beautiful afternoon of grilling out, playing with the kids, and celebrating.

My mom and step-dad brought Jack a sandtable that also has a side you can fill with water; it was a big hit with the 2 and under crowd, though Jack personally enjoyed eating the sand as much as playing with it, much to our chagrin. Oh, we got the sand-eater. We didn't know until then. As my mother said, "this is payback".
Jack ate his first Magnolia bakery-recipe cupcake, baked by Mommy, and seemed to love it. He got quite a lot of nice gifts-including the bubble machine that we used all the bubbles for immediately-it was magic!
It was great to finally get to see all of the kids playing together-Ben, Liam, Karthik, Jack, and Taylor are all within 8 months of each other in age. Mason was great with them as well!
Thanks to all who came to celebrate a year of Jack-we've had a great year, and we can't wait for the next year!
